If you haven't done this already, you should schedule a visit to our school.  Click the button below to schedule your visit. During your time at The Academy NJ,  you will meet with our Executive Director to hear about the school and what a typical day would look like for your child.  

Please plan on spending about an hour at the school for this visit.

Gather as much information you can about your child. This includes any recent work samples, psychological reports, and IEPs. Unless your child(ren)'s report cards have narrative comments or anecdotal information from his/her teachers, you don't need to include this. 

We want to make sure your child can thrive and be successful in our school. The more information you can provide, the easier we are able to do this from the first day he/she starts at The Academy NJ.

There is no Admissions Testing during our Admissions process. We will assess your student(s) once they are accepted into our school, however, we do not have a test that students must take and/or pass in order to be accepted into our school. 

There is a $100 Application fee at the end of this application.

There is nothing for you to do during this step.  We will review your child's application and reach back out to you if we have any questions. 

From our paper review as well as our meeting and discussions with you and your child, we will determine if we believe we could serve your child successfully. This usually happens within 48 hours. If we believe the answer to this is YES, then we will continue to Step 5. If not, then we will notify you of our decision.

We will schedule a time for your son or daughter to spend a day with us. During the Shadow Day, your son/daughter will go through a typical school day with the other students. 

This time is for your child(ren) to determine if our school is a school that they would enjoy attending.  It is also a time for us to determine if  your child can be successful with us. In some instances, we might want to schedule more than one shadow day. 

A shadow day cannot be scheduled without an Admissions Application being submitted.

Within 48 hours of your child(ren)'s Shadow Day, we will notify you of our decision. For those children who are  accepted, we will send an email  including your child's Tuition, Schedule of Payments, and Enrollment Contract. 

If we are not able to accept your child, you will receive a phone call from our Executive Director within 48 hours of your child's Shadow Day.
